A Wealth Advocate represents one interest: yours.
An independent, advice-only professional dedicated to representing your financial well-being—free from conflicts of interest—so the financial system works for you, not against you.
Why a Wealth Advocate? →Why a Wealth Advocate
Accountants, lawyers, investment advisors, insurance professionals and other specialists may each play an important role in your financial life. But each typically sees only one part of the picture.
Meet the Wealth Advocate →What a Wealth Advocate Does
A Wealth Advocate does not replace your current professionals. The role exists to see how the pieces work together, ask better questions and represent your interests across those professionals.
One responsibility and one clear point of view: yours.
The role cannot be compensated or constrained in ways that conflict with its sole responsibility to you.
Built upon respected professional designations and meaningful experience.
Working constructively with accountants, lawyers, investment advisors, insurance professionals and other specialists.
What It Means For You
Understand how advice, fees, taxes and decisions are shaping your wealth.
Bring the different parts of your financial life into one coherent view.
Move forward with facts, informed questions and an independent perspective.
How the Idea of the Wealth Advocate Began
After more than 30 years in financial services, Scott Ross wrote Three Wolves at Your Door to help Canadians better understand the forces shaping their financial future—and to level the playing field with their financial providers.
While the book identified a need, it also exposed a gap: the ideal independent professional to help people navigate the system—and level the playing field with their financial providers—did not exist. That realization became the genesis for both the Wealth Advocate and Wealth Literacy concepts.

For Industry Professionals
The Wealth Advocate profession will be built through thoughtful conversation—with the people it is intended to serve and the professionals who can help make it credible.
A credible profession cannot be created by a title alone. It will require standards, qualifications, experience, independence, governance and accountability.
An Invitation
Contribute your experience to the standards, boundaries and future of the profession. This is a conversation for the practitioners who can help turn the idea of a Wealth Advocate into a reality.
Wealth Literacy
▣ Did You Know?
Canadians collectively own roughly six dollars of assets for every dollar of debt.
Yet most financial education is still centred on debt management and budgeting rather than on understanding wealth.
As Canadians accumulate homes, pensions, investments and businesses, they face a different challenge: knowing how to build, protect and preserve wealth over decades.
Wealth Literacy helps Canadians bridge that gap.
For Canadian Investors
The Wealth Advocate profession will be built through thoughtful conversation—with the people it is intended to serve and the professionals who can help make it credible.
